Planning
Master Planning is an effective way to develop a comprehensive scheme that ensures all the different uses of a property work well together. This includes location of dwellings and other major structures such as pools, tennis courts, outdoor rooms and gardens, for the best views and the most effective use of the land. Work with a Landscape Architect from the beginning, before siting major improvements such as utilities, drives, and structures, to avoid loss of wonderful opportunities.



Aesthetic and Technical Design
We bring classical design theory to our projects for results that provide even measures of function and beauty. Our design is informed by careful study of successful projects completed over the ages, primarily from Europe and Asia.

Research on classical Japanese gardens, the nineteenth century reconstruction of Paris, Italian villas, waterworks in Russia's Venice of the North in Saint Petersburg provides endless examples of good planning and design that can be translated into a very different location and context. From this foundation we can steer a design toward a Modern, Japanese, European, Western, or completely Custom aesthetic. This scholarship and our years of experience with professional project management are two of the areas that distinguish us from garden designers and landscapers.

We bring a broader sense of history and meaning, which provides a greater range of options for your project, with proven management practice, allowing us to handle the most complex and the simplest projects. We are always looking for better ways to realize exemplary projects, though traditional design is never lost in our work. Permitting
Our familiarity with the workings of the local and state permitting agencies, and our individual rapport with their members enable us to get projects through required historic design review, conservation, building and health departments, and zoning review as quickly as possible.
